Shelly is a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a passion for wound care that began in 2010 while working as a Medical Assistant in a rural podiatry office in Wisconsin. Inspired by her early experiences in wound management, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh before relocating to Phoenix, Arizona, to continue her healthcare career.
Shelly built a strong clinical foundation in wound care while working in skilled nursing, where she gained experience treating a wide variety of complex wounds and advanced treatment modalities. In 2023, she earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Arizona State University and went on to provide mobile wound care services in homes, assisted living communities, and group homes throughout Arizona. Her holistic approach focuses not only on healing wounds, but also on addressing the underlying factors that impact patient health, recovery, and long-term prevention.
A proud Army veteran, Shelly served nine years as a truck driver and completed deployments supporting Hurricane Katrina relief efforts as well as combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Her military background has given her a special connection with veteran patients and strengthened her commitment to compassionate, individualized care.
Outside of work, Shelly enjoys spending time with her husband and exploring Arizona.
