Maria Gonzales, DNP, AGNP-C, CWCN, is a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner with deep expertise in wound care and over 16 years of critical care nursing experience. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Arizona State University, where she specialized in Adult-Gerontology and conducted a doctoral project focused on pressure injury prevention across hospital settings.

Maria completed advanced wound care training through the University of Washington’s Wound Management Education Program and holds certification as a Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN). Her clinical background includes extensive work in Burn ICU, Cardiac ICU, and Stroke care, which she brings to her current role in outpatient wound management.

She believes that well-rounded, individualized care is at the heart of healing. Maria is dedicated to partnering with patients to create treatment plans that address both the clinical needs of the wound and the personal needs of the individual. Education is a core part of her care philosophy, and she often teaches patients about wound healing stages, nutritional support, and daily strategies for long-term health.

Outside of work, Maria enjoys jogging, hiking Arizona’s scenic trails, and expressing her creativity through painting and drawing. She also loves reading and spending time with her husband.
